The Good Humor Man (1950)

During our coffee in the lounge we all exchanged a few of our favorite jokes and had a full length movie called "The Good Humor Man" with Jack Carson which was most entertaining. We all stayed up quite late and walked the deck before retiring.

The remainder of the day was spent quite leisurely by all passengers so the captain decided to give us a movie Sunday night. We saw Deanna Durbin in one of her old films, which was good entertainment after so much sitting.

At Sea - Ellen Bakke - August 16, 1959

Johnny Apollo (1940)

For dinner we have our usual meal plus a fish course, a beautyfully decorated turkey, wine and a lovely birthday cake. We are all quite gay and again we are shown a movie — Tyrone Powers and Dorothy Lamour in "Johnny Apollo."

The Ten Commandments (1956)

Last night we went to the movies again and saw the 3-1/2 hour "Ten Commandments" which we enjoyed immensely. We hated to miss it when it was shown at home. Now are caught up on several shows we missed in York.

We also went to a movie tonight which started at 9:30 and then had two intermissions, which made us arrive hone at 12:45, so I'm almost too sleepy to tell you about our first day in Lisbon, which was quite dull because of the weather.

Lisboa - November 30, 1959

A Woman Like Satan - La femme et le pantin (1958)

Tonight we had dinner at "The Chicken Inn" near Piccadilly Circus and then took in a movie titled "A Woman Like Satan", starring Brigitte Bardot, who was disgusting, sexy and to my way of thinking much too vulgar and revealing. (Censors here in England must be very lax).

London - February 28, 1960

The Summer of the Seventeenth Doll (1959)

We ate in a restaurant we had visited on our last trip and had a very good dinner. After dinner, we went to the movies to see "The Summer of the Seventeenth Doll". The settings of this movie were all in and around Sydney, Australia and we remembered seeing many of the scenes last August.

Because of the continuous rain we went to the movies this evening and enjoyed an American film; we also think we ate "Reindeer Steaks" for dinner tonight, which were not too bad.

Here it is Tuesday, June 7, and we have already been aboard our lovely floating hotel, the Kungsholm, for two delicious meals and a cozy tea at three-thirty. During the afternoon we went to the auditorium where we saw the vistavision movie called "The Rat Race", which we thoroughly enjoyed.

Saturday, June 11, and we seemed to have the usual rough waters, but we went to the afternoon movie as well as the evening documentary and en- joyed both. We had a wonderful party tonight and sang and danced, wore crazy hats and ate plenty of hot dogs and snacks and were treated to freebeer.

Today we again attended two movies, one called "Rockets Galore" and the other a cruise with the Kungsholm in the West Indies. We had a lovely farewell dinner, with colorful hats and decorative menus.
